AI and career planning: future jobs and skills
Students look at how AI is changing day-to-day work across different industries, which tasks AI handles well and which still need human judgement, communication and creativity, and set a next learning step based on their own interests.
Secondary 3 to 6
Cantonese or English
- Talk 30 to 60 minutes for a whole year group or several classes, in the hall or a classroom.
- Workshop 60 to 90 minutes for one class of about 20 to 40 students, with group activities.

Sample talk outline (45 minutes)
- 0 to 5 minWarm-up vote: which jobs will AI change most?
- 5 to 20 minIndustry examples of how AI is changing everyday work.
- 20 to 35 minSkills map: tasks AI handles well, and human strengths such as communication, judgement and creativity.
- 35 to 43 minReflection: one industry of interest and one short-term learning goal.
- 43 to 45 minWrap-up.
