Many residents in Hong Kong's ethnically diverse communities cannot find or read the services around them. Umeed Connect answers everyday questions in the languages people actually speak — ten of them, across five different writing systems — and it's the platform Umeed Limited designs, builds and runs every day.

Ask in your language, in your script
Ten languages across five different writing systems. For Urdu, that means full right-to-left interface mirroring — navigation, alignment and reading order all turn, not just the words dropped into a left-to-right page.

Faster exactly when it matters
Government notices are ingested automatically every three hours and published across all ten languages, with 72.7% of notices live within 24 hours. During Typhoon Noul (25–26 July 2026), the pipeline published 46 notices in all ten languages — and got faster, not slower, as the median time to live fell to 3.21 hours.

Chiri, by text and by voice
Chiri is a friendly AI assistant that answers from Umeed's own verified resources rather than open-ended generation — by text in 8 of our ten languages, and by voice in the same eight, as Hong Kong's first voice-to-voice AI agent built for ethnically diverse residents. Google's Gemini Live API isn't offered directly in Hong Kong, so Umeed built and operates its own relay to bring real-time voice conversation to residents anyway.

Verified resources & guided journeys
116 of 145 reviewed records approved as verified resources. 25 step-by-step guided journeys — 155 steps in total — walk residents through processes like eHealth registration or school admission, fully translated in all ten languages. Plus 44 original stories, 30,697 words of editorial, for readers who want to understand a topic, not just complete a task.

Reach people on WhatsApp, too
Umeed also built and runs its own WhatsApp broadcast tool, already in production use, to reach residents directly on the app many already have open: segmented audiences, message templates, link tracking and campaign analytics.
