UMEED
About Umeed

Umeed means
hope.

Umeed means hope in Urdu and Hindi. We built and run Umeed Connect — Hong Kong's multilingual information platform for ethnically diverse communities, live now in ten languages. Everything else we do grows out of that platform: we teach the AI and digital skills behind it to young people from the communities we serve, and we're opening the same infrastructure and playbook to other organisations who want to reach those communities too.

Impact Innovation Lab

Most public services in Hong Kong are published in two languages. Hundreds of thousands of residents speak neither at home. We build for them — and for the organisations that serve them.

How we work

Built from what we run ourselves

Umeed Connect isn't a pitch deck — it's a platform we operate every day, tested under real pressure: a typhoon, a rainstorm, a cyber attack. The multilingual architecture, delivery playbook and community model behind it are what we bring to your organisation. Tech-for-Good Consulting is that infrastructure, opened up — not a separate practice with its own client list, but the tools and lessons from Connect, transferred to you.
