Rescuing a stalled website
A faculty research lab at a Hong Kong university had a website that had stalled: inconsistent typography, an unsorted photo library, and pages that hadn’t shipped. We took it over, fixed what a design review had flagged, curated its photo library from 437 images down to 14, built a new programme page from scratch, and got it live.

Umeed Connect
Designed, built and operated end to end: a multilingual information platform serving Hong Kong’s ethnically diverse communities in 10 languages across 5 writing systems, with an AI assistant (Chiri) grounded in Umeed’s own verified resources, by text and voice.
Connect Co-Creation Hackathon
Two Saturdays at Dream Impact (14 & 21 Feb 2026), open to ages 12-28, no coding experience required, drew 53 participants against an original target of 45. Teams pitched projects for their own communities using the same AI tools we use in our own work.
Fire-safety training
Our first-ever community safety event: a residential fire-safety training on 30 December 2025, delivered with the Institute of Leadership and Management Foundation (ILM) and instructors from FirexFire HK. Every participant used a fire extinguisher, not just watched one demonstrated.

Design-thinking workshops
Hands-on workshops where young people define a problem from their own community, prototype a response, and test it with real users, the format that later became the core of our hackathon.
