Rescuing a stalled website
A faculty research lab at a Hong Kong university had a website that had stalled: inconsistent typography, pages that hadn’t shipped, and a WordPress install that had been compromised by malware. We took it over, removed the malware, hardened the site’s security, fixed what a design review had flagged, and cut its first-load weight by over 90%. We’re now carrying that further with a full visual revamp: a new design system and pattern library — hero, card grid, carousel, editorial columns, stat strips — rebuilt across all 21 pages so the team can edit and reorder content themselves, with an accessibility and performance pass built in.
