We teach young people from Hong Kong's ethnically diverse communities to use and build with AI. Participants work on problems from their own neighbourhoods, with tools they can keep using after the event ends.

Talks, workshops and hackathons for Hong Kong secondary schools and upper primary (P4 to P6), built on EDB’s AI Literacy Learning Framework and taught in Cantonese or English.

Two Saturdays, open to ages 12–28, no coding experience required. Teams used the same AI tools we use in our own work; every team presented its solution to the room, and all three outcome targets were met.

Design-thinking workshops
Young people define a problem from their own community, then use AI tools to vibe-code a working prototype, not just a slide deck, and test it with real users. The format at the core of our hackathon.
Connect Co-Creation Hackathon
Two Saturdays at Dream Impact, ages 12–28. No prior coding experience required: teams use AI tools to prototype real, working solutions. 53 participants against a target of 45.
AI literacy & community training
From an introduction to AI assistants through to community safety, including a residential fire-safety training with ILM and FirexFire HK, where every participant used a fire extinguisher.
